    Explanation: The Polish Sejm, in exercising the liberum veto at every opportunity, utterly paralyzed the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, leading to its eventual destruction.

    In the last ~3 decades of the Commonwealth’s existence, attempts were made to unfuck the system, but by then it was too late.

      Okay, that is definitively one of the stupidest legislative processes I’ve ever seen.

      I mean unanimity is one thing (that also almost never works), but allowing everyone to unilaterally undo the entire session is ridiculous
